Just saw this on Metal Archives, after thinking WTF to myself when sampling an album...

Additional Notes
"Jeff has been caught stealing other bands' (e.g. Avathar) songs from the internet and presenting them as his own. He never played or recorded these songs himself, or even modify them. He even used these songs on Brynjard's full length albums."

I noticed myself that

"Outro" to disc 2 of Brynjard's Land Behind the Mist
is
"Usher" from October Falls' Tuoni

and
"The Silvershade Lynx" on disc 2 of Land Behind the Mist
is -surely- something by Nest, but I don't know what...it's just that Nest is unmistakable lol.

anyone else familiar with these guys. and has anyone ever heard of someone pulling shit like that before?

also meant to ask, anyone who has that album--do you recognise any other songs?

I'm just curious to know which he actually made (if fuckin' any LOL), and which he didn't...since, after all, if I like them I should really check out the band who actually made it.

Velvet Cacoon actually recorded some original material, and never sold anything with other artist's work on it. They just leaked those fake albums onto the internet. Not that I'm really defending Velvet Cacoon, since I know it was mostly a joke band, but this is different.

Ridiculous. Why do people even bother trying to establish themselves as musicians if they don't even intend on creating their own music? And obviously money isn't the answer here since we're talking about more underground music.
