Buckethead - Electric Tears

So uh...what's it like? I like Population Overload which is fairly non-quirky instrumental stuff with a lot of songs that sound inspired by Maggot Brain or something. Cuckoo Clocks of Doom is only alright, the whole thing is heavy. Giant Robot is crap, it's a bunch of random weird shit with about 2 songs that have any interesting musical content. Is it like any of those three?

Atmospheric guitar work!
relaxing and emotional

I think I have every main Buckethead release available, like 30 albums, and I think Electric Tears is in the last 3 worth getting. Decent soundscapes, but there's just nothing to the songs. Colma is a bit better......the thing is, for all the unbelievable talent he has, his songwriting was never that great until the last couple of years. Definitely a relaxing sound though.

But now, take something like Elephant Man's Alarm Clock or Pepper's Ghost, he's really taking it up a notch with those. His songs are getting more dynamic and structured. Heavier stuff than ET of course, but I generally think the tech metal type stuff he does is his best work.
