BULLET for my Valentine sound

Neve 1073> nebula AlexB
Maxton od808> tse808
Andy 5150> tseX50
Mesa boogie cab 4x12> God`s cab impulses md421 & 57 (but it isn't absolutely similar)
GML8200(on guitars)>Oxford EQ (gml option)

I spent much time in sound picking up, and was convinced that generally is high-quality tools, change strings every part, good execution.
And I still searching because it is my favourite sound

Maybe somebody knows where to get such impulses? (mesa boogie 4x12 "SLANT" cab)

i think colin uses the dolby trick to get that smooth, clear lows and hyped sound

and it`s quadro-tracking on ESP Ecipse 2, which gives a "room-effect" and good sound size
i think Andy 5150 has ben modded, have hard low-end
does anyone know what strings prefers Colin? rotosound?
well as no one said a word about the bass, it's two tracks overloaded and normal bass?
interview Colin explains a lot, but not everything ...still so much questions...

I much preferred The Poison to be honest, SAF is too dry sounding.

I agree. Mixing wise I think SAF is great but I always felt like it could have been pushed a little more and would have legendary.

SAF<Tempo of the Damned

Similar sound, but everything is pushed a littttle more in Tempo (more verb, more gain, more punch, less dry), which is why it is my reference mix.
