I found the tuning is drop C with A = 430hz which places it between drop B and C with A as 440hz. I could never get the tuning right with 440hz so figured they must have changed the reference and that seems to match perfectly.

For what I know guitars are 5150 with TS9 and Marshalls 1960A with GT75.
Last time I read about it ( on the SOS metal issue), the guy said the cabinets had greenbacks....
Which guy?
To me, this album is also a benchmark and milestone concerning drum tones. Like them way more than the so often heralded 'Black Album' tones, even though they might have been influential to this record.
Anyone got any info on the drums? I'm especially curious if and to what extend samples were used.
The guy that wrote the article...the guitar player from kill to this I think...I don't have the issue at hand atm
I've heard everywhere its been mentioned that they used GreenBacks in the marshall 60's
