There's this billboard in Northampton that has some lady's smug face on it (who I think is a realtor, or possibly a city councilperson) and this huuuuge quote: "I enlighten your neighborhood."

yeah ryan and i were noticing that billboard. weird.

also in most cases i agree with fus about the wise characters espousing authors philosophy thing, but I think Dune is an exception for me.

soooo when a wise character appears in a fictional work, you think the author should take care to make sure the character says stuff the author absolutely does not believe?
