I think they trained the US astronauts to be bad-ass in case they ever had a turf war with Soviet cosmonauts and they had a dust-up in space, wearing those big suits. In fact, I'm surprised the Russians never tried to shoot down a US craft. Or did they?

A hoax it may be, but I have yet to see any conclusive evidence it is, and all the apparent reasons from photographs the landings were hoaxes I've ever seen even I can explain
