By far my most professional sounding mix yet

Mix is pumping a bit and the cymbals sound really thin. Those snare transients are poking through quite a bit also so you may want to throw G-Clip on that to tame them. Also, the guitars sound a tad bit dark but it may the earbuds I'm listening on. Idea is cool though, I dig the lead when it comes in.

Clean up those bass frequencies, that's what's making this mix pump bad. Snare is pretty much only attack without body... Misses some glue overall, as drums are a lot buried, except for that snare transient...

I'm having a problem with the snare. I'm using SD and I can't multi-out the snare on its own because I'm using an old version of Cubase.
So instead, I always just put G Clip on the entire drum track.
To compensate, should I just lower the snare?
And should I add more compression to the bass?

G-Clip on the entire drum buss is probably not the best idea. I've never used SD but is there any way to mix the individual tracks within the program? If so, you can try boosting a bit at around 200Hz on the snare track to give it more body. That will help a little bit at least.

Actually that's my problem. The version of Cubase I'm using (4 LE) doesn't allow me to mix the individual tracks. I can only mix the drum kit as a whole.
However, if I go within SD I can manually edit the sounds of each track. The problem is that GClip doesn't show up in SD, just Cubase.

You can export only the snare track on a new track in cubase and mix this track alone......
