Not trying to be stupid but what are they trying to get across? Is it a Christian theme or Non-Christian theme. Can somebody enlighten me?

Thanks for posting those dates, DadRocks ... I might have to check out one of those Chicago area dates.

P.S. There's a tune on this disc called King Diamond, which pays homage to the legend himself. It's a real good tune as well. I was wondering if anyone can think of another metal artist who has ever had a song written about him like this .. couldn't think of anything off hand. I'm sure there have been tons of tunes paying tribute to artists that have passed on, but not many paying tribute to living artists.

Looking forward to hearing this release. I saw them once outside of the Universal ampitheater. They were on a stage set up outside the venue they jammed while we were waiting to get into see Iron Maiden.

I've never seen them gig locally they seem to pass L.A. and do more O.C. shows. Montebello isn't that far so we'll see.

Does it matter?

It does if you want to understand what's going on in the album. If you're purely in it for musical content, then no, you wouldn't care. But for those who believe the lyrics and overall meaning of an album are an integral part to the music, then they'd want to know. I haven't heard the album, but if I were to get into it, I'd at least like to know what's going on.

Anyone know anything about this date? On The Dome's website it says some Martial Arts thing is on that date lol and The Dome's myspace it says a Tribute to Johnny Cash is being played that day.

maybe it's just me but I've grown tired of the over the top Halford Painkiller clone vocals, they have become screeching and irritating to my ears... probably just me

Well ofcourse there is the Tenacious D Dio song. Abnd a lot of indie and punk bands write songs either in tribute or plugging other artist. More metal than you might think too. Oh, Motorhead wrote about The Ramones, but maybe that doesn't count.
I'm sure I have a few just can't think of them.
