Amazing.

I literally can't even put into words how much Calvin and Hobbes means to me.

EDIT: Damnit I had a typo in Hobbes on the thread title, and its really making me mad. Sorry Hobbes :(

best. comic. evAr.

i read about this compendium in playboy just this morning while on the terlit, i think my 11 collection books cover the whole series, but i'll definitely pick this up. i spent my childhood reading them, starting in probably 1986. whoa.

Weirdos From Another Planet!
Scientific Progress Goes "Boink"
The Indispensable Calvin and Hobbes
The Days are Just Packed
It's A Magical World
Calvin and Hobbes: Sunday Pages 1985-1995
The Complete Calvin and Hobbes

these are the ones i'm missing, and only 4 of them are necessary to have the complete collection (except one strip, thanks wikipedia). since they are only $10 each i'll probably go that route.

C&H seriously should be in any Top watever list of writen material ever. Its so amazing. Like I said, I literally can't put into words the feelings it gives me to read it. And the feelings change throughout my history of reading it. From when I first started as a little kid, then as I grew up. Now that I've read almost all of them, each time I re-read a certain strip or story line I feel somthing different, nothing I can really put my finger on but it is a certain feeling of memory, nostalgia, happiness, saddness, meloncholy...nothing else gives me the same feeling.

seriously man, i totally feel you on this.

Ditto. I started reading the comic when I was 5, in 1991 (yes, I could read the actual text, I didn't just look at the drawings), and I've been a fan ever since. I think I've got all the books and most of the comic books released in Norway.

the bathroom is the only place i ever read playboy (anywhere else, and i'm "reading" it :dopey: ), car and driver, and old comic collections like far side, dilbert, mad, and calvin and hobbes.

i don't read actual books on the terlit though, that's for the couch, my patio, or sitting on a tree in the middle of the forest.
