I'm trying to tab out the solo from Death In Fire. Can any one of you guitarists take a look at this to see if I am right (or at least close?)

I haven't tried to figure it out, but I allways figured it for two-note finger tapping instead. You might try using that technique on a variation of what you have done, and see what you come up with.

I'm too lazy to tune down to "B" so I'll just give you some speculative advise. I think you have the key note progression down right, but what I have been getting with my guitar only dropped one step, is a simple pick-tap technique separating the tap note with the "key" note by nearly an octive. For my guitar, it is like holding down the 3rd fret on the D, or third, string and doing a pick tap on the 10th fret. Likewise, leaving the D string open and tapping the 7th fret, and so on, much like the progression you have tabbed out. Again, I'm not down to B tuning so I'm just tossing my 2 cents out there. Try this and see if it makes sense. I know this isn't the response you were really looking for, but what the hell. Anyway, Hail AA!

Just saw them play last night, and I watched the solo VERY carefully, and I am WAY off!
-Yes on the finger-tapping
-Progression is similar
-wrong two strings (2&3, not 4&5)
-and the tapped note of each beat is about an octive higher than the released note

^^^ do you even know how to speak English, because that made no sense whatsoever.

In short, dont use tabs
And I dont bother to check my english...english is so overestimated.
Why get so upset yankee doodle?

I was pissed yesterday, is all. Also, English is one easy language to mix up and get confused with.

And about the tabs, I'm making them so that if anyone wants to play the song, they would be able to play it correctly, which is the entire point. You try playing that song right, NOW.

The tab looks right but one pointer. Normally metal solos tend to be on the higher frets, I know when I play the solo its is in Dropped B tuning at around the 12 fret on the lower strings, as the frets are closer together it alows for higher speeds with the left hand. The sound is slightly warmer aswell like a vinyl record compared to a CD and the constant hammering is also cause for the lower strings as the long reaches are harder to do than small ones.

But tabs in the end are very limited to how they can be read and written. I recomend reading sheet music, if you dont know it, learn.

The basics are very simple and you can learn it without a teacher.

But stick with what your happy with, as i started as a classical guitarist the sheet music i learned when i was 9. Otherwise my veiw might be different.

Hope I was able to help:wave:

I got my updated version right here:
