Can we talk about the new Freedom Call album artwork?

I'm not even sure where to begin with this one. The deviantart quality of it all, the band logo as the eye tattoo, the insanely prominent clavicle, the nipples, the MS Paint quality logo of the band up top - this is a disaster on every level. It seriously looks like they hired a random fan on Facebook to do it for free.

I'm sure the music will be good. But dear god, this doesn't help FC's reputation in the metal world at all as one of the kings of flowery power metal.

There's GOT to be more to this than meets the eye

This has to be a bad-on-purpose joke or "a dying fan designed this for us" or "the drummer's kid drew this for us" or a "haha got you, here's the real artwork".

Otherwise this is just merchandising suicide.

It'll be interesting to see if the band ever addresses it. As I'm sure some of you will have already seen the comments are absolutely filled with negative feedback about the artwork yet not a single response from the band it seems.
