Not sure what I think of this yet.
I actually really like Rob's vocals, as they are very audible, which isn't usually the case with his recorded vox.
Previously, at least on CANDLEMASS recordings, they are low in the mix.

1996, per Messiah's Wiki page:

Messiah then worked with members of Stillborn on a project named "Colossus" and released a demo and contributed a cover of "Sad But True" to a Metallica tribute album named "Metal Militia: A Tribute to Metallica II" in 1996. The band did not progress further after this.

I have that tribute album - it's a bunch of death metal covers of Metallica songs.
