I was just viewing the classic piece of art that is Candlemass' video for Bewitched. I don't believe I have seen a thread dedicated to this band yet, and surely they deserve fellation as much as any other. Nightfall is my favourite. . . hows about you???

Excellent band. Pisses me off they've been reunited/started playing shows in what... 2001 or 2002? Recorded a new album and never came to North America... Too bad it looks like Messiah won't sing on the new album they said today after saying he would a while back despite him saying he wasn't.

I was hoping maybe Celtic Frost would bring them over to tour or something since I'm not sure if they could headline the US, though it would be awesome to see a full set. I have an Epicus shirt someone got me from Waken 2002 with Summer of Doom dates on the back. The Epicus picture is all black on a black shirt, it's pretty cool though very tight Euro shirt.

Candlemass destroys 99% of the bands nowadays. Messiah Marcolin is a killler vocalist! see the vocals thread...

my fave is 'Nightfall', although all the first 4 records are billiant!!!

I dont want to argue on whos the top doom bands, but Pentagram,Trouble, Witchfinder general, and Saint Vitus are all up there with Candlemass. Imo of course.

im talking more of the traditional doom metal bands, not so much of the death/doom bands.
