Can't f**kin believe this!!!!!!!

These greedy promoters offered Testy just $1200 to pay in front of 10,000 paid audience, Testy cannot tour for this kind of chump change. A club in Germany offered them a paltry $650 advance, so Testy cancelled that one too. It is really expensive to tour Europe and there is no money out there for Thrash bands from the 80's.

Ya how do you keep knowing what everyone is getting paid?.Are you in the industry?.No sarcasm serious question.
That sucks about bloodstock if it's true, hopefully it has something to do with the album.

Who are you and how do you know what they are getting paid? Sounds like bullshit, don't believe everything you read dude...

I contacted the Promoter and he is actually telling the other bands that Testy gets $1200 to lowball everyone else. This ad appears in the Manchester paper:

Are you in a band and want to play BLOODSTOCK07?

BLOODSTOCK is a festival run by fans for fans. We present an unsigned/independent labels band stage where there is a chance to play on Saturday 30th September for a 30 minute set. Up to 12 unsigned bands are selected to play.

This year we are going to raffle 2 places on the bill at BLOODSTOCK 2007. All you need to do is :

1. Purchase 1 or more tickets at £51 each for the event from the festival website at www.bloodstockfestival.com
2. email me vince@bloodstock.uk.com to let me know you have purchased a ticket and stating the name of your band. If you have already purchased a ticket and are in a band and want to take advantage of entering the raffle then again email me.
3. Send a demo pack to BLOODSTOCK, 100 Swingate, Kimberley, Nottingham, NG16 2PQ.

Date change has pushed the festival back to August. Testament are set to play the Thursday, and BOA hasn't pulled more than 2500 people, so where you got 10,000 from is beyond me.

What was the name of the promoter you contacted please? I know for a fact that ANY promoter will not discuss band fees with complete strangers as it is a very private in-house thing.

The ad doesn't prove your point as it's entirely unrelated and very much out of date....that email address no longer exists and the submission address changed last year, as that ad ran in relation to last years Indoor show.

As one of the team behind Bloodstock, I know for a fact you have NO IDEA what you are talking about and if you even thought for a second that a legendary band such as Testament would even entertain playing overseas shows that would not even cover their airfares then you are VERY MUCH MISTAKEN.

Lets Do the Math together:

Capacity 2500
10 bancs, let's give TestY 30%
minus comps, 20000 gross
Talent splits 10K with 10 bands
3000 for Tasty in a best case senario
$1200 advance

If you are really a promoter rep, you will confirm that
the agent recieved a $1200 advance!

Now, let's see your math

I take it you missed the part about promoters not discussing band fees with complete strangers, and this is absolutely NEVER EVER going to happen on a public message board!!!!

Call the agent that booked the gig, she (Tammy) will tell you that Testy's advance for these festival gigs is $1200.

Why do you feel the need to prove what deposit secures a Testament performance anyway? Also, no idea who this Tammy is.....does she work for Chuck at Artists Worldwide (Testaments agent)?

What is your agenda here dude? Reading your posts across various threads I really do have to wonder!

She was the person that we booked our Harz Rock Fest in Germany with, she told us that the advance was $1200. If you truly are part of the team at Bloodstock, you will know that this figure is accurate. What is your agenda here (other than impersonating the promoter of Bloodstock)?

Ok, I've just read through all your posts since you joined UM and I'm not going to bother entering into any further discussion with you as feeding trolls is something I'd rather not bother with.

That show was the best show ever! Testy is easily the best rock band in history! These incredible musicians make Led Zeppelin, Ozzy and Van Halen look like amateurs! Clearly the greatest band of all time!
