Capo for a 6 string bass

I know - very fucked up question.

Does anyone know of any manufacturers that make a capo that would fit a 6 string bass? The neck is around 88mm at the 12th fret (around 3 1/4 inches). The neck is very flat so there's no radius to worry about.

I think I am going to have to have someone make one of these for me...but I thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone knew of any. I have been on every site out there (or so it seems) and can't find anything wider that 2 1/4 inches.

Because a capo needs to get around the neck to be locked into position?

I never liked those things, they screw with my intonation a lot...

I hear you there - but a good capo won't mess with your intonation. I'm actually having one custome made...not too many people need a capo that can bar the 12th fret on a 6 string bass...

Maybe you're right. I've only used a capo a couple of times, but it messed my action / intonation pretty bad. Maybe I wasn't using it right or something, but it's not the kind of thing I really need, so...
