Career Metal Scans

That isn't career scans. It's how many they have sold since 1991.

Guns N Roses sold a fuckload of records before 1991 remember. Appetite For Destruction is their biggest seller and was released in 1987. KISS as well have only sold 7 million records in the US since 1991 but have sold 10x more than that before 1991.

Pretty Boy Floyd haven't sold many heheh. Actually I find it hard to believe that XYZ, Bang Tango, Trixter etc have sold so many more than them!

yeah as troops said its only from 91 and it is only for the U.S. It's pretty impressive to see the likes of Van Halen who have sold 15 million copies in the US alone from 1991 considering that they weren't huge in the 90's like they were in the 80's.

If i remember correctly, isn't 'Appetite For Destruction' the biggest selling debut album of all time?

Its unbelieveable how many albums Metallica has sold. 45 million in the US alone in only 10 years...

Testament broke the million mark :headbang: :)

Slayer sold 3.5 million, thats quite a lot considering how heavy they are and what they sing about :headbang:

No its not, heavy & controversial stuff always sells better than melodic stuff these days when it comes to metal. Most metal fans get into metal as a teenager through somebody like Metallica then look for something heavier and Slayer is always the main band there.

I think its amazing that some of the hair bands on the list sold as well as they did. Remember those statistics are from 1991 till now. Slayer will always outsell a hair band these days because hardly anybody young gets into party/sleaze/rock & roll stuff. They all want heaviness, evilness, death & violence.

Yeah but what they sing about is a step above Slipknots Heretic Song :) They arent a "popular" metal band in the numetal sense either (though lately they seem to be getting press all the time for some reason). Three and a half million is very good for a band past their prime exposure wise!
