Music legend, Carlos Santana, was hospitalized after collapsing during the soundcheck for his Tuesday (April 22) show at the Majestic & Empire Theatres in San Antonio, Texas. The show was postponed.
Majestic & Empire Theatres shared the following message last night:
“Santana is postponing his Oneness Tour 2025 show at the Majestic Theatre tonight (Tuesday, April 22, 2025) in San Antonio, Texas, Michael Vrionis, manager said. He has been taken in for observation in San Antonio.”
Vrionis said: “It is with profound disappointment that I have to inform you all that tonight’s show in San Antonio has been postponed. Mr. Santana was at the venue (Majestic Theatre) preparing for tonight’s show when he experienced an event that was determined to be dehydration. Out of an abundance of caution and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action. He is doing well and is looking forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his US Tour. Thank you all very much for your understanding. The show will be rescheduled soon.”
The San Antonio Fire Department told TMZ that they responded to the Majestic Theater at 5 PM, CT for a report of an elderly patient who had reportedly fainted and transported them to the hospital with a non life-threatening condition.
Santana is scheduled to perform tonight (Wednesday, April 23) at Smart Financial Center Sugar Land, TX. Find his complete tour itinerary here.
