Carlos Zema Announced new singer for DSG

If you knew the actual reasoning behind it, you would understand....

Perhaps he would. But since he doesn't, it looks like Carlos is just jumping to something that might make him more money. Which can be a part of 'family issues' for sure.

I'm sure you and Shok like being in the know. But can't blame others for thinking differently of a situation when they aren't hehe.

Read the blog on his MySpace page or the news on Blabbermouth for more details.

Who cares? (not that Carlos is gone, but why he left in the first place) From the sound of things it looks like the new Outworld is gonna be better than ever. Meshuggah influence you say? I'm in!

Okay maybe I need to copy and paste his statements. Then you can be "in the know" too, but apparently that's a bad thing.. ? You'll see that family issues were the least of the contributing factors to his leaving. Why would you even think that is the main reason anyway? I think you brought it up just to bitch about something.

"Singer Carlos Zema has left Texas prog metallers OUTWORLD due to "different views concerning the bands music, as well as to pursue other interestes in his career."

Commented Zema: "I really think it's time to explain the reasons why I decided to not be a part of OUTWORLD any longer. I had to leave my entire personal life, business, properties, and students behind in Brazil when I recieved the invitation to be a part of this awesome project. Because of that, I decided to move to the USA and start a new life from zero. My personal family issues contributed, but in reality were not the main reason I decided to leave the band.

"First of all, let me say that there were excellent musicians in this last lineup: Rusty Cooley, Matt Smith, Shawn Kascak and Bobby Williamson! It was definitely a great honor for me to play with these guys!

"Now, for the reasons why I left… First: During this period of time together, the band was starting to head in two different stylistic directions, dividing us: Rusty, Shawn and Matt started wanting to write MESHUGGAH-sounding type of mterial. They wanted a second guitarist, different type of vocals, etc. Bobby and I started having a hard time fitting in vocal melodies and keyboard arrangements. So when Bobby left the band, I decided that my efforts and vocals would be worth more elsewhere."

"Second: At the beginning of this year we got an offer for a very opportunistic tour in South America, which was supposed to happen in the second half of 2008. But we we were in disagreement issues as far as costly fees being requested for this tour between the members of the band. This drove the band to the point that there was no way to make 'the first-ever tour of the band' happen. In other words, it wasn't possible to continue in this fashion.

"My priority now is to start working with a band, record a badass album, and go on tour soon with no overcharged fees and contradictions with the musical direction.

"A great opportunity knocked on my door when I met David Shankle (former MANOWAR guitarist). Now we are starting the writing process with his band, DAVID SHANKLE GROUP (DSG), and getting ready for a tour as soon as possible. Besides that, I'm jamming out already and working with my great friends from COLDERA, which includes former CELLADOR guitarist Bill Hudson, former INTO ETERNITY drummer Adam Sagan and up-and-coming Florida shredder John Slaughter. We spent the entire last week in Madison, WI rehearsing and working on pre-production.

"I have a lot going on in my life right now and I can guarantee you that I will see you on the road very soon!""

Umm no bitchin' here hon...l actually got the info from this very forum.

Taken from Bobby's Myspace blog:

Keyboardist Bobby Williamson of the Texas metal band OUTWORLD has issued the following update:

"Due to overwhelming and stressful tasks that I took on, rehearsal schedule problems, sleep deprivation and damage to my hearing (tinnitus), I have made the decision to leave OUTWORLD. This was a hard decision to make, but I feel it’s best for me.

"Rusty Cooley [guitar] and I, the founding members of this band, began OUTWORLD years ago with the vision of putting together an amazing metal band that could measure up with the quality of bands like SYMPHONY X, DREAM THEATER, etc., and I think we conquered that vision to a degree. However, things have changed for me, it became not fun anymore and too hard to persevere with little positive return.

"But I’m not done with music! And I look forward to writing music of my own...not sure which direction I will take yet as far as a project or a band.

"I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of those devoted fans we have gathered over the years that truly believed in us. You helped us win the Famecast video competition, an amazing and gloriful accomplishment that each of us will never forget. Cheers to you!

Carlos is leaving because of family issues back home.

Do you not read? I hope I've helped you have a better understanding...carry on.

Having known Shankle as well as a few of his former bandmates, I can tell you that Carlos won't see a dime for any of his efforts with DSG. In fact, I'll be willing to put money on the notion that an album never gets recorded and that no shows will be played. I personally feel bad for Carlos for what he's about to go through.

Stay metal. Never rust.

Hmmm..I know Dave pretty well. Have so for quite a while. I also know a lot of details and wherefors on past band members and why they left. Unfortunately Dave gets a bad wrap because he has a lot of passion for his music and lets be fair here, his name is pretty big. But honestly he is the most down to earth musician I have ever met. As far as money goes, come on...DSG is great but how many people have their CD's? That comes to little or no cash anyway. I hope I am right but could be wrong. I still don't know why Shreddy left as that dude is one fricking amazing keyboard player. But thats OK, now we have Mindwarp Chamber.

Talk to a few former musicians that have worked with him. I think you'll find similar sentiments to Met-Al's. I've heard nothing good from the few musicians I know who have worked with him. I'm sure Al will give you his own firsthand account next time we're at Impulse, if you are curious. Or via PM.

Im going to be a troll and just say

owned.

Hardly owned! It was a one line sentence from someone else, whereas I posted three paragraphs from the horse's mouth citing every reason in the book before family issues. (Now who's reading?) Bobby left 1 line at the end of the blog but ya'll take that as the prime factor over the others that were said directly from Carlos? Perhaps I'm just confused why everyone thinks family issues were the #1 reason and thus merit the criticism for his choice to join another music project. It's like burning down a house because it has weeds in the backyard. Nitpicking, is maybe the right word :)
