That is creepy close to one another. Sm7 is a bit tighter and slightly more present. What's your mic placement with the fathead? I have one and LOVE it.

I didn't like my Fathead. I really dig the SM7 though. If you like the fathead save up and get an R121. It's everything you seem to like about the fathead without any of the stuff that you'll grow to hate after a while.
