Causeway Cannibal NOT High On Bath Salts.

Yeah, every time I smoke a bowl I go into a psychotic rage and want to rip someone's face off with my teeth.

funny how they don't explain how much THC was found in his system, I mean it stays in our system for months, sometimes years if heavy smokers (especially in hair samples)
Cannabis is no explanation for such behaviour, there's definitely something else to blame. Don't you think stories like this would be everywhere since alot of people smoke weed?
Maybe an unknown substance was involved as there's many new synthetic "research chemicals" being made everyday & I don't think the labs can test for unknown chemicals
Heck, maybe this dude just had serious mental issues that had just surfaced and it wasn't drug related... who knows?

I don't really see any implied suggestion in the article that cannabis was to blame.

Oh, please.

Reefer Madness all over again...

Well, half true. Cannabis can cause a little bit of loopiness in the minds of people with a normal bill of mental health, but for people diagnosed with psychosis/schizophrenia, pot will turn that shit to 11. I wouldn't say this is true for all people with a mental illness, for example, there are many people who feel smoking helped them to overcome depression, but it's something to keep in mind.

Sources: I'm bipolar II and weed has never 100% agreed with me, it generally just makes me kind of paranoid. I also knew a couple of people through therapy (most were bipolar, but a few people with unipolar depression, schizoaffective disorder, etc.) who felt that part of their illnesses were brought on by smoking pot regularly.

Edit: This is why it couldn't have been the pot, a la 4chan:

"If I was stoned enough to even consider eating another mans face, I highly doubt I would have the body control to do so. I don't think you realize how much effort you would have to put out in order to eat a mans fucking face. The higher I get, the more I want doritoes, not human flesh.

And I have smoked 4 bowls of purple Camelot. Shit was purple weed with crystals covering all of it. My mouth went numb just from smoking it."

True dat.

I've smoked stuff thats been that good that it has caused mild hallucinations(Didn't need that much either, and i'm a heavy smoker.), and i don't have any mental health issues.
I'm totally buying that cannabis may have been the cause of his behavior.. well.. at least that it triggered it.

How the fuck do we know that it didn't trigger a mental psychosis?
I mean, if you have good weed you're high for about 4 hours.. it can be tested in your blood within ~15-25 hours after smoking(If you're not a regular smoker.).
If you're an everyday smoker your blood will test positive for days or even weeks, which means that he could have cleared out of the drug but remained in a mental psychosis.

Just saying.. I've met a few people that got schizophrenic after smoking weed.

It may sound strange, but there are people who go extremly crazy without drugs ;)

For real, my girl is going to be a therapist and worked in psychatry for some time and so on,
due to that I know some stuff about persons who didn't take any drugs and did some crazy
ass shit because of mental illness.
Nobody ate another person's face, yes, but a few of them did stuff that isn't far away from
it but I just don't want to describe it-makes me sick everytime I think about it.

oh and to clear it up, the people I am talking about didn't do any drugs at all (some of them not even in
their whole life) and weren't on medication-they just did some serious crazy shit because of their mental
illness.

yea, but according to this guy's friends/family, he was a really laid back guy with no previous mental health issues

I think it something like:

"I'm walking, what a wonderful day, i said a hip hop the hippie the hippie to the hip hip hop, a you dont stop
the rock it to the bang bang boogie say up jumped, OH SIIIIIT I iz crazy! nom nom nom nom" and when he snapped out of it he was all like "Oh shit, what the fuck did I do?"

Something like that.

at least two of the persons I am talking about were the same ;)
one of them teaching in an elementary school with two children at home and they only realized
that something was terribly wrong with that person after that stuff happened.

And just to describe what happened with that person so you realize that it was pretty sick, too:
From one day to another the person didn't go to work, on the same day, a guy wanted to deliver
a package, the person opened the door covered in blood and tried to attack the guy who than
called the police.
The blood wasn't from somebody else, the person actually cutted big pieces of meat out his
body and ate them raw (all in all over 3 pounds of meat) and as the police arrived the person
wanted to beat them, was brought to hospital and almost bled to death because of fighting
against everybody...while being chained to the bed...
