Well, my band Neurotic Regression just finished our first CD titled Rise. The song list is as follows:

Neurotic Regression
Blood In Their Eyes
Into My Hell
Salvation's End
Rise
Myrmidon
Dream Therapy
Digital Blueprint
Flesh of the Many

I'm still in talks with the band about setting up something at myspace.com so that the "world" can hear us.

I'd say that the "final product" turned out pretty good. Much better than I expected, but I don't think that it, in any way, has scratched the surface as far as our potential as a band. I will let everyone know, when the time comes, once the songs are available for D/L.

YOU SHOULD DEFINETELY PRINT THE LYRICS ON MYSPACE.COM (OR SOME OTHER WEB SITE) OR IF YOU FEEL REALLY AMBITIOUS YOU COULD ACTUALLY TRY TO GET YOUR SONG LYRICS ON

www.lyrics.com

I might consider that. All I know is, we're definitely "poor-man" copyrighting our name, lyrics (all but Rise and Dream Therapy I wrote), and music. I played keyboards, drums, and sang (I did all of the growls). I had a fucking blast.

HERE'S SOME ADVICE
WHEN A NEW BAND FIRST SIGNS WITH A RECORD "LABEL" THEY ALWAYS ALWAYS GET TOTALY SCREWED AT FIRST
WHAT I WOULD DO IF I WAS YOU IS GET A GIG THAT WILL LET YOU VIDEO TAPE YOUR PERFORMANCE TO MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO GET SOME COSTUMES/PYRO-TECH AND PAY THE AUDIENCE TO SCREEM LIKE THEY ALREADY LOVE YOU USE DIGITAL CAMERAS AND DO ALL THE EDITING YOURSELF ON THE PC THAT YOUR USING TO POST ON THIS FORUM THEN TAKE A COMEPLETELY FINISHED MUSIC-VIDEO TO THE RECORD LABEL AND TELL THEM TO "GET THIS AS IS ON MTV" (OR DISTRIBUTED TO FYE NATION-WIDE) SAME THING WITH THE CD DON'T EVER LET THE LABEL TELL YOU TO INCLUDE SONGS WRITTEN BY SOMEONE THAT'S WRITTEN SONG'S FOR OTHER ARTISTS THE VERY FIRST THING THE LABEL (ANY LABEL) WILL DO IS TELL YOU THAT "YOUR SOUND" REALLY NEEDS A "PROFESIONAL SONGWRITER"

Well, I don't know about the whole music video thing. We're only a 3-piece band right now and I think it'd be pretty hard to play drums, keyboards, and sing at the same time, haha. We're in the market for a singer, a 2nd guitar player, and a keyboard player at the moment. Definitely looking at a 6-piece band, but in the area that I'm in, it's very hard to find someone with the same common musical interests that my band has. We auditioned a singer and, at one point, we had a 2nd guitar player but he wasn't showing up to practices because he had "better things to do" and the singer didn't work out because he was wanting to change my lyrics around, put a line here when it should be there, and I flat out told him, "No, it's written how it's written and nothing is going to be changed around." I don't know if that's selfish but, goddamn it, those are my lyrics. I put my heart and soul into writing the shit, and I'll be damned if I'm going to have someone manipulate my creativity. But yeah, and there ya go.
