Circle of the Tyrants was based on the original story of Conan the Barbarian.
On the first CT album there's "The Crypts Of Ray". The lyrics are based on a true story about a general in the army of Jeanne D'Arc called Gilles de Rais.
He was a nobleman who raped tortured and killed more than 140 children.
The French historian Philippe Reliquet has written a book about this.

Labeling Celtic Frost as just thrash doesn't do them justice. Excellent band though, Morbid Tales is one of my favorite albums!

Have them, and love them all. Yes, even Cold Lake. How can you not laugh at TW's vocals on that album? He sounds like his voice is quivery because he's getting a blow job while doing the vocals.
