Change G12T-75 in cab for a V30

Hi guys

Im thinking about swapping one of the G12T-75's for a V30 in one of my cabs for recording duties. Are there any compatability issues with doing this?

Open your cab and check if the speakers in it are 4,8 or 16 Ω (Ohm) and then match the speakers your buying to that. Wire it properly and your done. It's as simple as that.

The V30 is 16 ohms same as the G12's so I should be good to go then?

Yup, just make sure you don't wire it in reverse and your good.

I always thought V30s were rated 8 Ohms but is that just because of the way a 4x12 cab is wired?

You can buy them at 8 or 16.
