I know it's a bit of a misnomer, but what can I expect with changing my EL34's to 6L6's in my Laney VH100r ?? Also, there is a bias switch on the amp - does this mean all I have to do is swap the tubes, flick the switch, and I'm ready to rock?? Or do I have to get someone to rebias the amp internally?

I cant answer your question but I want to know this aswell, as Ive got an EL34 loaded VH100R aswell

Cleaner cleans, defined bass, but you will notice a lack of that Marshall sounding distortion(chunky is what I like to call it).

I asked mine to come factory-fitted with 6L6 when I bought it some years ago because I already heard one with EL34 and that was too rockish for my taste.

of course you will have to push the amp at least till 3 (0 to 10) to hear the fucking roar.

do it!
