Changing pickups on a VGS Soulmaster

I want to get an evertune workhorse, without paying too much. I thought about the VGS Soulmaster 6, but read somewhere that it has kinda wierd pickup sizes, so switching could be problematic..

Can somebody confirm this?
Would an Aftermath or a Black Hawk fit?

Doesn't it just have emg707 size pickups? You are able to order bare knuckles in the emg size profile for seven strings.
