i seem to be one of the few who still like In Flames, i got soundtrack, and i think its a very good album, though admittedly not as good as previous material. my favorite In Flames song will remain to be December Flower

I pretty much enjoyed everything up to reroute it even has some good songs. But like stated already soundtrack only has maby 2-3 good songs the rest really are not up to inflames quality in my opinion.

i saw in flames live last saturday it was great.. every time i wanted to see them,... soemthing always came up.. and i couldnt.. so they were on tour with .. ehem.. some metal core bands.. as i lay dying.. ehem.. SUPER GAY.. ehem.. and Killswith Engage.. ehem.. GAY.. ehem..

so it was a great show. they didnt have fire on this one... fucking gay.. thanks GREAT WHITE FOR RUINING for everybody...

so they played some cool songs.. mostly from reroute to remain.. and 3 from the new one.. it was cool that they played colony, episode 666, 2 songs from clayman.. clayman and pinball map..and two songs from lunar strain behind space.. fucking great shit \m/ and clad in shadow... \m/ those emo fags were surprised that i knew the lyrics.. they were just there for as i lay dying.. fags

This is the greatest country in the world with some of the all time greatest Metal bands around. Bands like In Flames were sittng around taking notes while AMERICAN bands like Death and Morbid Angel were paving the way for their style of music(originally, anyway). Nowadays they seem to be going more for the korn sound. They don't play anything off The Jester Race or Whoracle(besides fucking episode 666 which i'm tired of) so who cares.

Well as with most (popular) metal bands, they evolve the music to meet the majority tastes of the general metal public. The new album isnt ANYTHING like pre - reroute to remain. All the ambient electronica, heavy riffs, and lack of original solos really pissed me off cause its not the in flames i grew up listening to. And btw that tour with KSE and dark tranquility sucked

I like (for the most part) the new stuff, sure its different(congrats to them for having the balls basically give a big fuck you to their original fanbase) but you can still see classic IF elements at work. I think the songs "Discover Me Like Emptiness" , "In Search for I", "Superhero of a Computer Rage" and "Dial 595-Escape" successfully incorporate the old IF with the new IF.

However I believe the peak of their career has passed(IMO from Subterranean to Clayman). We no longer have albums full of great songs, but rather albums with a few great ones only.

And because of their past achievements, as well as new stuff that I enjoy I will remain a fan for probably awhile to come.

ah, and you forgot to mention that the whole korn thing came from AMERICAN bands too [though crappy american bands.. haha]
