I used to live in Salt Lake City and the band I played in used to record all our sessions with this guy named Josh Stippich. He is an amazingly talented young engineer, but he got fed up with the limitations in equipment he had so he started making his own tube preamps and poweramps. His work is absolutely amazing, not just in a sonic sense, but his amplifiers are indeed works of art.
You must look at his studio reference horn speakers as well. The sub horns are massive.
