its a rough mix of a brutal death band, im currently working on their new album.

guitars were quad tracked and reamped through a mesa recto pre along with a jackson and rocktron preamp..single 57 for each track.

would love to hear you guy's opinions on the mix..im sure theres room for improvement..cheers!

Great clarity. I would bring the overheads and the vox down a bit, and I'll bet you could get a little more girth in the low-mids of the snare without getting things too muddy. The guitar sound is perfect for this kind of stuff.

sounds good, i'd work on the guitar that's panned right, it's not as defined as the one on the left and throws off the stereo image a bit.

Sounds pretty good otherwise.

Vocals can come down some.

thanks guys,i'll check that right guitar out. the band wanted the vocals upfront, i originally had them down as well.

holy shit i know what happened with the guitar balance in the intro..i had one guitar track completed muted in the right channel! bad edit..when you've got 8 guitar and DI tracks staring you in the face it happens.

The overheads sound REALLY phasey. dunno if it's the mp3 conversion or what. Maybe too much boosting at 10kHz-ish? great clarity as stated before! try doing something about the overheads...
