edit: according to Billboard, their album has been on the charts for 46 weeks, peaking at #2. That's alot of sales, my friend, as much as it is distressing.

Black Eye PeasThe Black Eyed Peas' hit single "My Humps" recently became the first song in the industry to exceed 2 million digital wireless sales in the U.S. "The Black Eyed Peas have harnessed the Master Tones media as an extremely effective method of outreach to their fans," said Steve Berman, president of marketing at Interscope Geffen A&M.
According to Berman the Black Eyed Peas have made a habit of finding unique ways to reach their core audience and now the mainstream as a whole.
"Taking advantage of every technological breakthrough is part of what defines today's true innovators," added Berman. "My Humps" comes from the group’s triple platinum album Monkey Business. It has spent thirty nine weeks on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts.
