It's a great album with lots of bassy chuggage. But it also has plenty of tremolo riffing as well. Chuggage can be great, if executed tastefully. I think that most black metal can use more chugaggage.

^ Most definitely, and imo it began with BWP. Prior to that, they were still pretty true. Good on them for whats happened, but GR was a total disgrace, and the blind fanboys sucked it down. Now any new fan proudly proclaims they know shit about extreme metal. They couldn't be further from the truth.
