Cinderella Live album

Hmmmm..... they are better than most, but to be honest, the only 80's hair bands I ever give listen to anymore these days are Bon Jovi (and I actually hated them in the 80's) White Lion, and a little Twisted Sister. I would gladly go see Slaughter live in a heartbeat, but really aren't even crazy about them on disc.
Having siad that, I liked them live. They did all of the guitar flipping stuff on stage and Keifer's voice was great, but on disc...... ok, but sounds a little dated

I have to pick around that pop metal stuff for the good songs myself. I did buy Long Cold Winter on CD when it was new due to the title track and my being into the blues. Long Cold Winter is like Zeps "Since I've Been Loving You" with the soul of Janis on vocals, very good IMO. Now except for a few filler tracks I like it quite a bit. They show alot of Delta blues influence on it, its far from your typical pop metal.

i thought heartbreak station was their best album. it shows even more blues influence than long cold winter

In my opinion, the great misconception about Cinderella and Tesla is that they´re considered hair bands.

OK, if we look "Night songs" cover artwork there´s no doubt about it. But albums like "Heartbreak station", "Still climbing" or even masterpiece "Long cold winter" has nothing to do with the LA sleazy stuff and others.

Don´t misunderstand me. I love sleazy but personally I consider Cinderella and Tesla the highest class acts from that era.

About new live album, it´s OK but we NEED an european tour or a festival appereances. It would be a dream come true.

Cinderella rocks!! :worship:

i agree, if cinderella and tesla are lumped into hair metal who's nexy? w.a.s.p.? lizzy borden? we might as well just call van halen and ozzy hair metal

the entire "hair band" and "glam metal" thing is a sham thats grown from the unknowing, those that werent around looking back and naming the style of music based on the fashion of the day. I have seen bands from Queensryche to Led Zeppelin to VanHalen and even Journey all lumped into hair and glam metal. Its just ignorance. The deal in Cali was the "Sunset Strip" metal scene, it spawned alot of bands, many from other parts of the country went there to try to make it. Some made it in other parts of the country or at least gave it a shot. Some came from England and other parts of Europe. It was just the commercial popular rock/metal of the era and so many were involved from the early days of Ozzy, VanHalen, Scorpions, Def Leppard, Doken through to late commers like Warrent and Firehouse. "Hair"... "glam"... "Sleeze"... the words of newbs

Looking back I think it was the hay day of heavy rockin music, they used to fill big venues with two acts. Today its small venues with 3-4 bands. There was local clubs with local acts all over, today the pickins are slim by comparison
