Classic Albums (The Making of) DVD Series

I have not found the JP one yet, but the Maiden one IS awesome. I'd also like to throw in a plug for the one on Zappa's Overnight Sensation & Apostrophe. That stuff is the bee's knees! (imo, of course!)

All of it, to be honest. Maybe I should give it another watch, but I remember really disliking it.

I am curious about the other Classic Album DVDs.

I still don't think you answered the question.

Was it too concise?
Were the interviews bad?
Were you looking for more footage?

I think I saw some of Metallica's on VH1, and I thought it seemed a bit boring, which might be Pate's issue with the Maiden.

Isn't there an ACE OF SPADES one?

I wish Painkiller was more acceptable in the mainstream as Judas Priest's "classic" album.

The same, too, goes for Seventh Son or Powerslave for Iron Maiden.

British Steel was the album that broke Priest into the US market.

Same with #OTB for Maiden.

Painkiller came out during a recession.
Anyone remember OPERATION ROCK R ROLL tour???

I seen that tour at the World Theater or whatever it was called back then. Who was on that? Priest, Alice Cooper, Motorhead, Metal Church and somebody else. I wanna say Aldo Nova but I am not sure. Damn, that was almost 20 years ago!

I also remember getting this. Why I still have it is anybody's guess?

Back to the topic... I love the behind the scenes stuff. I've seen the JP,IM, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Zappa, and more. Always interesting to see how these classics were made.

I have the British Steel DVD. And another one with the "making of" of "Machine Head" by Deep Purple. Very interesting stuff.
