Classic Rock Test

I've just had a quick listen (30 seconds) to that and It reminded me of the free-form jazz ensemble from This is Spinal Tap.... urghhh and the other tracks - no thanks. In fact it all seems very psycopathic to me (I was going to use psychedelic, but If I listened to anymore of that I would be wanting to kill someone.)

Ok Matt, I have 4 words for you:-

ONE OF THESE DAYS

This is one of Floyd's best songs, well mostly instrumental apart from when he says "one of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces". I'm almost 100% sure you will love this song, so if you have time try and download that song, from Meddle, its awesome.

Maybe I'm on my own saying this but, The Clash, Rolling Stones, The Doors, Cream, Hendrix, Joplin never ever did a thing for me.

Add to that Pink Floyd.... QUOTE]

Your NOT on your own, i agree with you 100%
I can't stand any of those bands, they bore me to death.
But if other people like that sort of stuff its fine by me, as long as I don't have to hear the rubbish lol

The thing is these bands are thr roots of the music we love .I know this dose not make them good but may i be bold enough to surgest that you give these bands a good listen. These are the bands that bands like saxon were inspired by.I think Saxon used to cover zepplin in the early days.

When i was 18 i bought the double cd Remasters by Led Zeppelin (because someone told me they were a great heavy rock band), and i hated it, i only liked about 2 or 3 songs on the whole double album :ill:
I used to know someone who loved Hendrix, and i heard some of his stuff, and it bored the pants of me. Basically its just too old and ploddy and slow, and too kind of blues rock sounding :yuk:
I know bands are influenced by much older bands, but it progresses into something newer sounding. Zeppelin MIGHT have been influenced by 50's rock and roll, but it dosent mean that all Zeppelin fans have to like 50's music.
I used to listen to deep purple and 70's sabbath e.t.c, but im just not really into it anymore, ive moved on (in a power metal direction) :muahaha: :kickass:
