Hey could someone* jewsend this album for me? I don't feel like spending $113.50 for a used CD. Cheers and shit.

sure thing boss. I'll get right on it.

There's been a movement to reissue Coil albums lately, so I'm sure that they'll get around to reissuing this one eventually.

i would have uploaded it for you but i was sleeping, which was probably all part of moose's sinister plan to get you to gaymarry him

Hi. I listened to this album last night. I mean really listened to it. It was fucking awesome. Tell me what path to choose now, Coil or otherwise. That whole discography of many a band looks intimidating, and I am hoping for some helpful advice.
I want to gaymarry you, Møøse.

LOL

That is helpful though, so in case I do the same, I can always reassure myself that "hey, it's okay, do what Chromatose do," and be done with it.

TOGETHER WE POWER

totally.

But at the SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM show a few weeks/months?! ago I saw a dude in a Coil shirt and thought "whoa, maybe I need more Coil!"

but I'll stand by my original statement.

A lot of their other stuff is very different from Love's Secret Domain, so you'd be missing a whole lot of excellent music if you only heard that one and called it quits.

Can I be the pastor? Apparently I was enrolled as a pastor in some universal church a few year back as a joke. I bet it's legal!

Well, let's have a look then. The most well-known and relatively easy to find albums of coil are:

Scatology (1984)- early industrial, a bit like Foetus
Horse Rotorvator (1986)- classical influences, experimental yet accessible

You need them.

After LSD (1991) Coil gets more dark and sad and slow. Like on Musick To Play In The Dark (1999 Vol. 1 and 2000 Vol. 2) - these are divine! Less song-oriented, more about moods.

If you want to go on a bad trip, try to find Constant Shallowness Leads To Evil (2000).

Recent work, which is melancholic but more melodic, includes

Ape Of Naples (2005)
Black Antlers (2006)

a lot of works by Coil are available at www.thresholdhouse.com - some on cd, others download only

Enjoy!
