For those who've never heard of this band or this album, I highly recommend them. Order it now. It is amazing Melodic Death Metal. Be sure to check out tracks such as "The Drunken Diamond", "Downfall" and "The Mind's Eye". Those are my personal favorites. For those of you who HAVE heard of this band, please discuss your thoughts, best tracks in your opinion, etc, I would love to chat with you regarding this release, which quickly became one of my all time favorite albums. I checked it out...and meh, I already reached the conclusion a couple years ago that I do not like melodic death metal at all. Not saying it's bad, but I can't stomach most melodic death. I think it's the slow melodies and that typical "bouncy" guitar work that really turns me away, and sometimes if the vocals sound metalcore-ish.

Not much, they're symphonic melo-death with gothic influences here and there. I really liked the new album, it's a fresh take on a tired sound...
