Computer Issue

Signature Failure...WTF is that about?
Actually the error message read "There has been a signature failure" Is this a common error on Vista machines?

The info you've given is quite vague. Have you just used Norton Ghost or something?

Um, No actually. The computer wont boot into Windows. I either get a black screen, that error message or an IBM screen. It wont even get far enough to get into safe mode. I just did a system recovery and when it restarted it still had the same problem.

I am not sure what the hell it is at this point. My two guessess are Vista just sucking or the HD is messed up (even though I scanned it three times and are running the tests IBM has for it.)

Well, from what I've read it is indeed a Hard Drive problem, and the only certified way of correcting it is to get a new Hard Drive. But I'd at least try and re-install Windows before buying anything. But this does seem to be a problem with IBM's it seems, as pretty much every report of this is with an IBM.
