Clearly the kid has authority issues but first of all there seems to be a communication problem between the two. I'd say failed parenting.
Obviously the kid has a point, just the way he expresses himself doesn't go along very well :D

The part where he said "I have control over my body" made me laugh though  But maybe he wants to be fat, who knows...

Haha.. wifebeater in the making.. frustrated little bastard.
I just love how at the dr phil show they blow everything up, nice sound effects added to the slap, and tension music as if you were watching a chase scene of a movie.

Where do they get these people from? Is Phil even a doctor?

I've seen this, I'd fuck that kid up if I were his mom.

Phil is a doctor, but he is not a psychiatrist, and honestly, he is not that good. He is a fuckin ig too. There's like an A and E biography or something on him and it reveals is shady past, with I believe an ex wife and some questionable behavior.

His show is pretty entertaining though but that's all, just like the Maury show.

That kids a pussy for LIFE HAHAHAHAHAHA.

I don't see what you guys mean, the kids totally has a point and it's obvious he is just frustrated becuse his mom is acting like a douche. She is just telling him to listen to her "just becuse" and doesn't even adress what made him upset to begin with, which to a child who already feels run-over is propably extremely frustrating. She is arguing with him like he is an adult, with the argumentation of a child. The sad thing is that people will probably just see the kid as an angry little shit, and overlook the fact that the mother seems uncapable of dealing with someone who can actually speak for themselves.

Well obviously the mother has a significant role in the issues, but the prolla is that the mother basically created a monster, that she can't control anymore.

I slapped my mom once...with a glove. I watched tha "Glove Slap" Simpsons episode and decided to give it the ole try. I loled.

I gotta side with the kid on this one; she's obviously just trying to do the whole "I am the parent bow to my will" routine, but once kids reach a certain age that just doesn't work any more, and I'd definitely say he's at it. And yeah, the sound effects cracked me up  (in a kind of horribly lame overdramatizing way)

Obviously, both the kid and the mother are at faut. Chances are the mom has never disciplined the child, and now she is trying to because she is on TV. She has created a monster from birth, and the kid doesn't even know how to take authority. He feels like he should be treated like an adult who can do whatever he wants because that's all he's ever known. The mom is also terrible at disciplining him, and I'm sure he's never had any real consequences for his actions.

That being said, the kid's a whiny bitch and if my child ever slaps me.... god help him!!!

The mother is obviously a horrible parent for the simple fact that the little bastard thinks it's okay to slap her in the face and tell her to shut up. He's probably turning everything up a few notches for TV, but still.

My kids would be so terrified to tell me to shut up, they'd shit their pants before the first syllable could ever make it out of their mouth. And slapping my face? HA! Fucking inconceivable.

The kid is obviously fucked up severely, but I pretty much always blame the parents for that.

+1!

If I had kids, they wouldn't fear god... they would fear me... and I wouldn't EVER have to lay a hand on them.

It's so funny because it brings up the cliche' "where is Dad to beat this kids ass?"

It may be a cliche, but it's founded in truth - kids (especially boys) often really need a father figure IMO, which is probably the root of the above kid's problem (unless he has a Dad who just opted out of appearing on Dr. Phil, for understandable reasons  )

They wouldn't have to fear you, they just need to respect you just like they should respect any other decent human being by moral standards and common sense. Indoctrinating fear into a child's mind should never be an option. It is just some sort of excuse because it is easier to go the control route for any authoritative figure.

OR if his dad is similar to Dr. Phil. Teehee. Man if my parents were therapists I would jump out the fucking window.
