You all know that I rarely, if ever, spam these hallowed halls with any band stuff, but I just wanted to make all of you North Eastern types aware of the following events. This is for anyone who’s a fan of guitar oriented music. These guys are all pros, and their resumes include Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Dethklok, Zappa Plays Zappa amongst others. I’ve been a fan & friend of Mike Keneally & Bryan Beller for a while, and have seen them in various formats throughout the years, even travelling clear across the country for some special gigs. The have NEVER disappointed me, and are quite a talented bunch. You’d have to try incredibly hard to not have fun at their gigs. These should be some really cool shows. Since I can’t make the jump out east, I’m hoping they do well enough out there to hit other parts of the country. These guys have plenty of music out there for you to check out, MySpace, FaceBook, Youtube channels, and their own sites www.keneally.com , www.bryanbeller.com

Anyway, check em out if you dare! Tell them Willcoxon sent ya, and enjoy some fine music!

I don't see any reason why this would need to be moved to the Lounge...Keneally's talent alone is worth a post/thread in the main PP Forum, IMO.

(Psssst...this is kinda like a Dethklok "reunion show," too. )

I agree 110%!
Believe it or not, I heard, and have video of Mike & Bryan doing the Dethklok theme at a Taylor Acoustic Clinic in Greenbay WI. Soon as I have some free time, I'll be putting that whole clinic/show up on Dimeadozen. Yes, they are taper friendly... Both of them have played seperately in Steve Vai's touring bands, Mike's on one of the G3 DVDs, and Bryan is on the latest Vai DVD release. Keneally was in Zappa's last touring band, and Drummer for these gigs, Joe Travers kicked buckets of ass on the Zappa Plays Zappa tours, and works as the vaultmaster for the Zappa Family Trust, helping get some of the unreleased Zappa material out to the masses I can't emphasize enough how good ALL these guys are. You can't put a genre label on them, which is awesome in my book.

Hey Pierpont, check out that Baltimore gig!

What Scott said. First set is Beller material, second is Keneally's. They're just using the same band, and it's not something thrown together, All these guys have been playing music with each other for quite a long time. And they're really GOOD! :D

I have had the pleasure of catching Mike Keneally's clinic once a few years back. The guy is truly a monster!

Hmm, New Haven, CT. Interesting.
