50 dollar guitars, 50 dollar amps, or just generally weird and cool stuff that you've done or used somewhere along the line.

I do a good amount of blues/slide guitar, and my main guitar for that kind of thing is a Fender Starcaster that I got for $75 at a used guitar shop.

I also have a 1985 Gorilla GG-25 that I use sometimes. A friend of mine got it for free with a cheap guitar, and he gave it to me because he never used it. It has the best fuzz tone I have ever heard, out of any amp or pedal. I probably use it more than I should!

So, any cool stuff you've used?

Well of course. People that think that the only usable sounds come from $1000+ gear are horribly wrong. I remember taking a field recorder outside and recording my band's drummer hitting the wrought iron ledge on our back deck for accented snare sounds. Completely free and it sounded great.

had the idea for the intro for a long time, the wind is just some fucked up stuff mixed with a wind sample :D
that eerie guitar thing is my cheapass ibanez on the neck pickup, a 9V battery as a slide into guitar rig and
some automation (for the panning vor example).

No sample at the moment, but I really dig the guitar sound I get out of my accoustic, it's at least 20 years old,
the father of my gf bought it for a few bucks used on a market, it way lying around in a wet cellar for years
looks pretty fucked up, but it sounds like a mix between a nylon and a steel string accoustic, but it's just a
fucked up, really old 3/4 nylon guitar.
