Germany's EMP Rock Invasion recently conducted an interview with SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor. You can now watch the chat below. Asked about his interest in collaborating with rapper Eminem, Taylor said: "I've always wanted to work with Em. Man, he's just… he's phenomenal. He's a great artist, a great rapper, a great producer, a great writer. I mean, he's amazing; I love him. But he's not the only one I wanna work with. I would love to work with Jay-Z, [Ice] Cube, [Dr.] Dre. I would love to do something in that world that is with people who I look up to, and I look up to all those guys. So I would love to work with Em, if I had the chance, 'cause I think he and I could really trade some cool stuff back and forth. On the other side of that, though, I really would love to work with Trent Reznor [NINE INCH NAILS] and do something really, really gnarly with him, 'cause he's just a genius. So I've still got a whole list of people who I would love to work with. Some are friends who I'm actually gonna do some stuff with this year, and some guys I've never met before. If the opportunity presents itself, hopefully, I'll get to do something. But if not, it's still something to aim for." Taylor also spoke about his appreciation for American rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur Dr. Dre. He said: "[Doing something with] Dre would be really cool. I have so much respect for him, especially after seeing the 'Straight Outta Compton' movie. That movie is so good; it's amazing. So good. And I knew it was going to be, 'cause, I mean, I was a huge N.W.A. fan when I was growing up, so I was, like, 'I really wanna see it.' And it blew me away. It exceeded my expectations. It was so good, man. It was so real. Cast well. It didn't hold anything back. And it was just so good, man. It deserved all the accolades that it got." As previously reported, SLIPKNOT has laid plans for a massive summer headline tour with MARILYN MANSON and OF MICE & MEN. The North American trek will see the Grammy Award-winning group bring its explosive live show across the U.S., with stops in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and many more. SLIPKNOT was nominated in both "Best Rock Album" (".5: The Gray Chapter") and "Best Metal Performance" ("Custer") categories at the 58th annual Grammy Awards, which was held on February 15 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. ".5: The Gray Chapter" sold 132,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week of release to land at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart. ".5: The Gray Chapter" was released in October 2014 following a six-year hiatus during which founding SLIPKNOT bassist Paul Gray died and original drummer Joey Jordison was dismissed.
