Coroners Ritual - Backstabber (Feedback is appreciated) 6 string metal !

Well bass, drums and voc sound ok but you should work a little more on the guitars. They don't sound very good and i think because you use gearbox lol.You should try the free amps sims that are out there and the free cab impulses.Keep the gearbox for your bass. What guitar did you use?

Yeah I know man, Ive tried a couple of the amp sims but I just cant seem to get a good sound out of them. Its probably just me doing something wrong. But I usually just keeps so mad when I cant get it to work properly that I just give up.

Thanks for taking the time to listen, I think I used my ESP SV Standard on this.

Keep trying. It's only a few months that i got my jackson dkmgt with active emg's and i think now it's so much easier to get a good tone with all this new toys lol.Great vocals man.

My guitars aint my problem, my production skills are xD
Thanks, aint me doing the vocals though :P

Bass sounds cool. The drums are OK (I am not a fan of the MF SDX at all), vocals sound good but are a bit too loud. The guitars sound like Gearbox... ;-(. Did you record DIs for the guitars? If so, you should try some other amp sims (even the free ones!).

No DI`s for guitars, but If I could just get a good tone that im happy with, its no problem re-tracking. Ive been fiddleing around with a couple amp sims through impulses the last few hours now (Nick Crow 8505 and Poulin456) and I just get the same crap Ive always got with them, lol.

Maybe its time I buy a mic and mic up my 6505 :P But then again, I will probably get that to sound like shit aswell, haha.

You have a 6505 and you're using Gearbox????? Dude!!
Either mic it up or if you don't want to kill people around you due to the loudness, record the fx-send and apply cabinet impulses in your DAW (like Redwirez/Recabinet/free ones). This should smoke your Gearbox tone.

Its usually at my bands rehersal place but I think I`ll have to take it home with me after the gig tomorrow.

But how is that done really ? Do I just use one jack cable between the fx-send on the 6505 and one between the guitar and input ? Dont I need something so it doesnt blow up, lol ? I dont have a cab at home you see.

There are tons of info around this forum about that, I guess 100's of fellow members around here did exactly that.
I personally never did this, because I am micing or using a Palmer PDI-03 for direct recording. But AFAIK, just go out of the Fx-send into your audio interface and record the stuff (CAUTION: you MUST connect a cab to your amp or it'll blow!!!!!!!!!). Then grab a plugin that can load impulse responses (like the free LeCab or Voxengo Boogex) and put it on the track. There are tons of free impulse responses around this forum as well.
