Actually I never liked Dickinson too, give me Paul Di'Anno!

Actually, Harris doesn't write many songs on his own like he used to. Look at the credits.dailyvault said:I think only part of the problem was Blaze - when I saw them in Chicago on the "Virtual XI" tour, he was out of tune on many of the Bruce-era songs.
But I think a bigger problem was that Harris wasn't willing to give up more control over the songwriting. If I remember correctly, Blaze only co-wrote one or two songs - and one of them, "Futureal," while not the greatest song Maiden ever did, wasn't terrible. I can't say the same for "The Angel & The Gambler," with a chorus that was far too repetitive.
Don't get me wrong, Maiden is Harris's band, so he has the right to call the shots. But I think if he'd have been a little more open to some fresh ideas, things may have turned out a little better. Plus, "The X Factor" really wasn't a bad album at all.
Just my thoughts, anyway...
