Could This Be The End of Ticketbastards?

Hmmm but I figured that Live Nation is making a killing off of their label. Perhaps they wrote poor contracts.

I'd throttle you with sarcasm, but since you're from Buffalo, I'll chalk it up to not seeing the sun in 15 years. .

LOL, I can so relate to that. You'd be amazed at what the lack of Vitamin D does to a person (ha ha).

Here's an idea, how 'bout if venues were to be like the movie theater? Just go to the venue, wait in line, get your ticket and go in?

You wouldn't even have to pay a person to issue tickets, do some sort of machine where you swipe your credit card and it spits it out to you????

On a slightly refreshing note, I've noticed that there are more and more venues that are NOT using TicketBastard to handle their ticket sales. The new Verizon Wireless Amphitheater here in Atlanta is one of them, and I've seen a few others that used different ticket agencies. Even the mightiest avalanche starts with the shifting of just a few pebbles. :heh:

I have tickets for a VWA that came form TicketBastard. They may not be exclusive, but the Bastard does handle their tickets.

20-40,000 at a ticket window before the show? How early would you need to get there to get good seats? How would one know if it's sold out?

The Convenience fee Ticket Bastard charges is exactly that.

The problem I have with them is that the rates are way too high. Plus they add extra fees I have no clue as to why or what they're applied to, making their total charges outrageous.

With how high prices are for EVERY single thing, it's not hard to see where people are cutting costs... Tickets that have almost a 50% mark up? Most people will pass and stick to tickets that don't have extra fees, like say, the movies.... Or buy directly from the artists or venues.

I once went to save $2 by buying a pre-show ticket. The pre show ticket was going to be $8/ $10 at the door. By the time the transaction was done, it was $14! $6 on an $8 TICKET? Hell no. I paid the $10 cover at the door which saved me $4.

I wouldn't mind the fee so much if it was included in the price of the ticket such as, Ticket for X concert: $65 including all fees. Instead of $11 not including fees.

Bye ticketbastard and all your convience fees, entry fees, parking fees, fee for fees, phone fees, distraction fees, and ass raping fees.

Magius: It didn't even pop into my mind about the huge venues! I'm from a small town and very simplistic in my thoughts (ha ha).

Still think there could be some sort of automatic way of doing it. I mean really, we are allowed to print out tickets on our computers, so does there have to be any sort of fee attached when we're the ones supplying the paper and ink?
