Could use Your Input on Best Mosh Pit Songs to Play Live

I'm in a band that does original metal music, and we will be playing some venues that allow mosh pits (getting rarer these days) and we want to play some covers along with our originals
I'm thinkiind "Cought in a Mosh", Anthrax - "Institution", S. Tendecies, and some Slayer.
What do you suggest to gaurantee some slamin'?

I think it depends on your crowd, most kids these days don't know who anthrax are. Just play something heavy everybody knows! with that being said Killswitch Engage does the trick for most of the people i know.

I vote dont play a cover. There is nothing worse than seeing a band that plays a cover from a larger band, and the crowd reaction is much better to the cover song than anything else they play. It lowers the perception the crowd has of your original material. They came to see your band, they should enjoy your bands material. And if you want a mosh pit song and dont have one... write one!

If you do play a cover, be weary of people requesting it at later shows. A couple of local bands around here are known as "the band that plays *insert song here*" because they always play the same cover, which gets people going, but no one cares about their original music.
