Cowboy Song (Anthrax Cover - originally by Thin Lizzy)

....because I grew up on that brand of rock, so I actually remember hearing "Cowboy Song" in a fairly regular rotation on WEBN 102.7 in Cincy ( I spent my early/formative years near Cincy) "Cowboy Song" was Thin Lizzy's "other" hit. Everyone remembers "The Boys are Back in Town" and "Jailbreak" but less people remember "Cowboy Song," and another good tune that is less remembered (but now everyone knows it because of some shitty band from Frisco) is "Whiskey in a Jar." Thin Lizzy is a great band, if you aren't too familiar with them, I recomend picking up a compilation from these guys. Rock back when it was real.

It's one of my favorite Anthrax covers!
I e-mailed Scott about a year ago and asked him to play it live.
He didn't reply to that.

N.F.F.-

I can't believe you just planted that seed. My daughter's listening to Bye, Bye, Bye by 'nsync and I'm trying to imagine what it would sound like if Anthrax covered it. Damn your eyes....

And I don't want to take any crap from anyone about letting my girl listen to that music. She likes boy bands. She thinks my music is weird. She thinks I'm weird. She says I have too many Star Wars toys. Where did I go wrong?:waah: :waah: :waah:

(actually, Bye, Bye, Bye wouldn't sound half bad.....)

I heard a punk version of one of Britney Spears' songs once, but I can't remeber the song and I never caught the name of the band who did it, but I remeber it was pretty fucking funny....
