Today, German iconic dark metal pioneers, Crematory, celebrate the release of their new studio album, Destination, via ROAR. Out now on CD, colored 2-LP Vinyl (incl. 4 bonus-Tracks), 3-CD Earbook (feat. the regular album, 4-track bonus CD, album on instrumental versions + a 48-page booklet), an exclusive 18-CD bundle (new album, exclusive remix album + all 16 previous albums) and in digital formats, you can order your favorite choice of format here.

In support of “Destination”, Crematory have not only just started their album release tour (find all current and upcoming dates below), but are also premiering a music video for their latest single, “The Future Is A Lonely Place”.

“For me, ‘The Future Is A Lonely Place’ is the hit on the new Destination album and a worthy successor to ‘Tears of Time’ and ‘Rise and Fall’,” Crematory founding member and drummer Markus Jüllich says. “We wrote an anthem for eternity with this song, which touches me personally on an emotional level, and I always think of my sadly late father when I hear or play the song. Every now and then, it brings tears to my eyes, and then I always know that this song will go down in Crematory’s history.”

In the more than three decades of their existence, Crematory have seen trends come and go, while always staying true to their trademarks, they belong to one of Germany’s most distinctive gothic metal pioneers to date. Following their latest studio offering, Inglorious Darkness (2022), Crematory now return with their 17th studio album, Destination, that sees the band reach new and even higher levels than ever before. Literally combining all the strengths and phases of the gothic metal pioneers, going back to their melodic death metal roots in places, diving deep into the gothic realm again but also surprising listeners, “Destination” marks a triumphant return to the past combined with the strengths of the present. Crematory sound highly motivated, they are upping the ante and definitely still have a lot to say even after 34 years of a successful band history.
