Crit mah bass tone

Been working on the old bass tone today, here's a little jimjam with it:



Worth a shit? I like it but it could probably be better. Filthy saturation all over everything. The last part has bass and drums with no guitars so you can hear it better.

I really like the energy of the thing as a whole; though I struggled to pick the bass out as an individual entity at first. Maybe could do with a little more intensification in the top end to bring out the pick attack?

Just my humble opinion/preference. Good job though man. Sounds real and raw, great energy.

Thanks for jamming it! Yeah I do agree the notes don't come through very well on the bass for sure. I hipassed it at 10khz and did a slight bump around 1.2khz but it didn't do much for the clankiness.

Yo Mike, I think from what I can hear it has a nice growl to it, but it wouldnt harm to try to bring that up a bit more.
Also more low end is needed imo

I find the 2.5-3K range good for bringing out the clank. That and amp/DI settings, of course.
