Irish folk metallers Cruachan have announced Ed Gilbert as a fulltime member of the band. "Cruachan have a new full time band member. Ed Gilbert who has been playing with us for over a year now as our guest has now become a full time member of the band. A lot of you have probably seen Ed play live with us in the past and will be familiar with him. He is a great musician and a great personality. Ed will be playing Keyboard, Tin Whistle, Banjo, Acoustic Guitar and Bosco Jay," states the band on their official website.
Cruachan will enter Sonic studios in Dublin on March 29th to record their follow up to Folk Lore, which was released in 2002. The band plans to be finished recording on the 11th of May, and the album will be out through Hammerheart Records sometime during the fall.
