Cryptopsy - Once Was Not

No Mike Disalvo was pretty good, but Lord Worm is on a different level entirely. His style didnt really fit Cryptopsy IMO. Lord Worm personifies the essence of Cryptopsy as well, and his vocals are just sickly awesome.
I qued up the album to download this morning before I left for work, hopefully I'll listen to it this evening.

It's more about the legend than the man really... I prefer DiSalvio because he was so punchy and clean... But I talked to Lord Worm and came to like the guy so I don't mind his singing now...

Yea I agree partly, he does have a sort of mystique around him and his career. I've met him twice briefly and he is a very nice guy. Very polite and quiet for some one who puts on such a possesed stage performance.
I use to actually dislike DiSalvo's vocals, but now I think he does have a very sharp attack that adds distinction to some of the Whisper Supremacy and ATYB songs.

Soulseek is being a bitch, ive only gotten 5 tracks so far- carrionshine, Adeste Infidelis, The curse of the great, the frantic pace of dying, and keeping the cadaver dogs busy. So far Im loving what I hear. I have a feeling this will be one of those albums most people either love or hate, to soon to tell though.
