Cubase 6 issue

Lately Cubase has been fucking up on me, it's not a huge ordeal but it's certainly annoying. The problem is when I try to use the slice tool. It won't make a cut on the grid, it's a few samples ahead or behind and it won't let me drag out the region to line up on the grid. Now I can alt+X on the region and it slices just fine, but I want to know why it's doing this. Any thoughts?

Sounds like the Snap to Zero Crossing Button is engaged. It looks like a curve flowing through an grid.

7 over from the left of the snap button >|<.

It had me pretty annoyed for a while as well.

The snap to zero-crossing could be the problem. I'm at the day job right now, but once I get to the studio I'll check it out. Thank you guys.

I finally made it to the studio last night and the problem was in fact the Snap to Zero-crossing button. Thank you again for helping me be a little less dumb.
